Achieve the Desired Finish with Vibratory or High-Energy Tumbling
This tumbling process involves polishing rough parts en masse to achieve a smooth metal finish. At RP Abrasives, we specialize in two types of stainless steel tumbling: high-energy and vibratory.
High-Energy Tumbling
High-energy tumbling is done by placing the stainless metal parts, media, water and a surfactant into a barrel that's then tightly sealed with a lid. As the barrel rotates, its carousel spins one way while the barrels go in the opposite direction, creating a powerful centrifugal force that efficiently finishes the stainless steel parts to the desired finish.
Vibratory Tumbling
Vibratory tumbling of stainless steel leverages friction to smooth steel. The vibrating media against the metal creates the targeted effect.
Our High-Energy Tumbling Equipment
At RP Abrasives, we proudly feature 4 high-energy tumblers. Our flagship tumbling machine has a capacity of 80 liters; our other machines are 120-liter and 20-liter. We use reputable Mass Finishing Inc. tumblers because of their incredible durability and reliability. By the actual batch size, we will determine the best tumbling machine to use for your specific stainless steel parts.
